Bio

Iconic culinarian, author, and entrepreneur Susan Feniger may be best known for her Modern Mexican concept, Border Grill restaurants, trucks, and catering, which she runs with her business partner, Mary Sue Milliken. Now with locations in Downtown Los Angeles, LAX, The Huntington Library, and Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Border Grill continues to serve street food-inspired regional Mexican cuisine with a commitment to sustainability and the best quality ingredients. Susan has co-authored six cookbooks, starred on The Food Network’s popular Too Hot Tamales and competed on Bravo’s Top Chef Masters. 

In 2018, Feniger and Milliken were named the recipients of the Julia Child Award and honored with the Gold Award from the LA Times for culinary excellence and innovation in Southern California. 

She was a close friend of SRF founder Sharon Monsky and became a founding member of the Board of Directors in 1988.  She is the driving force behind the cuisine at the SRF’s signature Cool Comedy–Hot Cuisine event.
