IRA Distribution

You may be able to transfer funds from your IRA directly to the Scleroderma Research Foundation and reduce your taxable income. Your required minimum distribution (RMD) is the minimum amount you must withdraw from your account each year.
You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you reach age 73. Learn more here.
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a tax efficient way for individuals who are 70 ½ years old or older to donate to charitable organizations. Through our partnership with LifeLegacy, you can easily make a QCD to the Scleroderma Research Foundation.
Please contact your IRA administrator to learn about any restrictions and to distribute funds.
