Scleroderma Research Foundation board member Bob Saget remembers his sister on her birthday:

“Today would have been my sister Gay’s 75th birthday. She lost her life to scleroderma when she was 47. My heart goes out to all who have lost a loved one to this disease. No one should have to suffer as Gay did, which is why I’m committed to finding a cure and a proud board member of the Scleroderma Research Foundation.”

In honor of Gay’s memory, 25 years ago Bob directed and executive produced a television movie for ABC that was loosely based on her story called “For Hope,” starring Dana Delany. We’d like to think it helped change how the world sees scleroderma. Today, this film continues to raise awareness of this disease and the need for research.
