This Raynauds Awareness Month, Dani shares her story and advocates for research. She was diagnosed with scleroderma in 2016—after noticing the classic signs of Raynaud’s phenomenon.
“Time has made me deal with the daily pains and treatment routine,” she says. But learning how to live with scleroderma didn’t just change how she approached her health—it also changed “the way I see life. The focus shifted to being happy today, doing my best today.”
Dani shares that, for her, “Scleroderma is… a comma in your life, not necessarily the period.” As she looks to the future, her hope comes from the possibility of advances in science. “Research provides hope for better days.”
For Dani, Raynaud’s symptoms played a key role in diagnosis. Learn more about Raynaud’s, and check out our resources for those who live with scleroderma.
