It’s #NationalVolunteerWeek, and we’re celebrating the unstoppable dedication of the SRF Cure Crew! 💙
This passionate group of volunteers—made up of patients, loved ones, and allies—is critical to the SRF’s mission. They’re sharing their stories, raising awareness and funds, and fueling progress toward a cure.
From powerful storytelling to creative fundraising, Cure Crew members are making an impact in communities across the world. Here are just some of the incredible ways they showed up this past year:
🔹 Cynthia W. (dx 2021) shared her journey with scleroderma and participation in the CONQUER clinical trial in a beautifully produced short film, helping others feel seen and informed
🔹 Nafisa Z. (dx 2020) turned her love of baking into a way to give back—donating 25% of her gluten-free bakery sales during Scleroderma Awareness Month to support research
🔹 Catherine C. and her family continued their fundraising tradition with the 9th Annual Best Medicine Comedy Show in partnership with Live Snakes Comedy, raising funds in memory of Catherine’s grandmother and contributing to over $26,500 raised for scleroderma research since 2014
🔹 Beth L. hosted her annual Picklepalooza in memory of her mom—combining pickleball, raffles, and fun to raise critical funds for research
To every member of the Cure Crew: THANK YOU! Your dedication moves us closer to a world without scleroderma.
