CONQUER Data Used to Shed Light on Early Systemic Sclerosis Symptoms

Thanks to CONQUER, researchers are uncovering insights that could help rheumatologists diagnose scleroderma.

A new paper was recently published in the journal Arthritis and Rheumatology using data from the CONQUER Registry and GENISOS cohort. The study reveals that for over 30% of people with systemic sclerosis, the earliest symptoms weren’t Raynaud’s phenomenon; instead, signs like puffy fingers or hand swelling came first.

These findings come from the CONQUER Registry, a first-of-its-kind, nationwide longitudinal study on people living with systemic sclerosis led and funded by the SRF. In coordination with a network of expert clinical centers, CONQUER helps researchers better understand how the disease begins and progresses, which ultimately accelerates discoveries that improve care and outcomes.

CONQUER is already generating real insights, thanks to the people living with scleroderma who make it possible.
