Turning hope into action begins with a strategic approach to funding scleroderma research.
When it comes to our core research portfolio, our Scientific Advisory Board, made up of some of the most brilliant minds in global medical research, ensures that we keep our funding focused on the most promising research projects in the field.
Each year, our advisors donate their time and expertise to review applications and guide funding decisions. A huge part of this process is an event at the core of our research program, our annual Science Workshop. This event sparks collaboration and lively discussion among funded researchers, outside experts, and grant applicants — all working together to benefit people living with scleroderma.
Last year alone, we funded a total of $6.7M+ to support research aimed at understanding scleroderma, accelerating improved therapies, and ultimately finding a cure.
