HEADER: CONQUEST team connects with global scleroderma research leaders at IWS 2025 🌍
Last month, members of the CONQUEST team attended the International Workshop for Scleroderma Research (IWS), held July 26–30, 2025, at St. John’s College in Cambridge, UK. Each year, the IWS brings together more than 250 international researchers, clinicians, and pharmaceutical partners to share findings on disease mechanisms, trials, and therapies.
CONQUEST is a global clinical trial created by the SRF to accelerate the development of potential new treatments for scleroderma. The first iteration of CONQUEST is focused on improving therapies for people living with systemic sclerosis associated interstitial lung disease (SSc-ILD).
During the conference, SRF Board Chair Luke Evnin and Board Member Eric Kau, MD, were in attendance, while SRF Chief Medical Officer Gregory Gordon, MD, delivered a presentation on CONQUEST’s innovative design. The team connected with leaders across academia and industry to raise awareness about the trial and its mission.
